WHO WE ARE In the years since Grace Fellowship moved in, we've worked hard to make the church more presentable for the neighborhood. We've been working to be a blessing to the neighborhood with our presence, and we would love to meet our neighbors. We would love to be a good neighbor, and we are interested in meeting you and learning what we can do to make the neighborhood a better place.
WHAT WE'RE DOING So far, besides working on our building, we've hosted a Harvest Night on Halloween, a Circus Performance, Youth Events, Movie Events, and more. Trying to get the word out is sometimes difficult, but we're working on it! Anything you suggest will be considered by our congregation. We're working to be the neighborhood church. Your feedback about which events we do make the biggest difference in the community is helpful. This neighborhood is new to us, and we hope to make friends in the neighborhood.
OUR STYLE We have contemporary-style worship, with upbeat, celebratory music. We project the words on a screen at the front of the church so everyone can sing and worship. Sometimes some of us will lift our hands, or bow down, or clap as we worship and praise Almighty God. In a typical service, we open with two songs, make our announcements, worship God in our offering, and then the young people leave for their classes and the adults stay for the sermon. We have nursery care for toddlers through the whole service, and Sunday School classes for Preschool up to High School. The sermon continues for between half-an-hour and forty-five minutes, focusing on practical application of Biblical principles. Then we get back together for more worship and praise, for a service that ends at about 11:30.
SMALL GROUP FRIENDSHIPS One of the keys to close relationships in our church are our Small Group Fellowships, generally called Home Groups (though we have them in homes and at the church). This is a time for people to get together to share, get prayer or other help, talk about life and issues, make friends, eat together, or just hang out. The most common topic of conversation is the Sunday message. Go the Home Groups for a schedule!
AT OUR BEST! There is One Bible, One God, and salvation is had through Jesus alone - but there are so many different churches to meet so many different needs. God's Truth is always the most important thing, but most churches do have something at which they are best. For Grace Fellowship, we have our best, too. Pastor Nathan Daniel is particularly talented at deep, spiritual counseling. He is happy to counsel people at no charge as his time allows. He helps people pray through issues, and his expertise are people who have pain or anger that goes back years - even to childhood. In those cases in which he might not have the necessary expertise, he has many associates that also counsel, and he does not hesitate to refer people to whomever is most qualified to help.
If you think you may need counseling, email Pastor Nathan.
As a congregation, we're best at intimate relationship and obedience to God. Those who apply the lessons have consistently reported greater intimacy with God, walking in more fulfilling obedience to God. God made everything, so it makes sense that He knows how everything should work and the best ways to do anything - so it seems wise to run our lives according to how the Creator says life ought to work. When we do, it's amazing how life changes! The idea is fairly simple - God loves us. God made us. The One who loves us most made us and made the whole world, so we simply need to live according to His design and His call on our lives, and life will be more fulfilling!
See you on Sunday! |
